  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. In a large bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, alternating with the milk until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chopped pecans.
  7. Fill each cupcake liner about 2/3 full with the batter.
  8. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Let the cupcakes cool completely before filling with caramel sauce.
  10. Using a piping bag or a small knife, make a hole in the center of each cupcake and fill with caramel sauce.

Notes

  • For an extra touch, drizzle additional caramel sauce on top before serving.
  • Make sure the cupcakes are completely cool before filling them to avoid melting the caramel.
  • Store leftover cupcakes in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
