Ingredients

  • 1 lb flank steak
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 cup black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1 cup salsa
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Marinate the flank steak with olive oil, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Preheat the grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Cook the marinated steak for about 6-8 minutes on each side until desired doneness is reached.
  4. Remove the steak from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing it thinly.
  5. Warm the flour tortillas in a separate skillet or microwave.
  6. Assemble the burritos by placing rice, black beans, sliced steak, cheese, avocado, and salsa on each tortilla.
  7. Wrap the tortillas tightly around the fillings and slice in half.
  8. Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve immediately.

Notes
