- 1 lb flank steak
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1 cup black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 1 cup salsa
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Marinate the flank steak with olive oil, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat the grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
- Cook the marinated steak for about 6-8 minutes on each side until desired doneness is reached.
- Remove the steak from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing it thinly.
- Warm the flour tortillas in a separate skillet or microwave.
- Assemble the burritos by placing rice, black beans, sliced steak, cheese, avocado, and salsa on each tortilla.
- Wrap the tortillas tightly around the fillings and slice in half.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve immediately.
Notes
- For a spicier burrito, add jalapeños or hot sauce.
- You can substitute the flank steak with grilled chicken or tofu for a different protein option.
- Make sure not to overcook the steak to keep it tender.
