Description

These flavorful beef kafta kebabs are a staple of Middle Eastern cuisine, made with ground beef, spices, and fresh herbs, perfect for grilling.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh mint, chopped
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Skewers (wooden or metal)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, onion, garlic, parsley, mint, cumin, coriander, cinnamon, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Mix well until all ingredients are fully combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into elongated patties around the skewers.
  4. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  5. Grill the kebabs for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are cooked through and have nice grill marks.
  6. Remove from the grill and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
  7. Serve with pita bread, tahini sauce, and fresh vegetables.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate the beef mixture for a few hours before grilling.
  • Soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes before using to prevent burning.
  • These kebabs can also be baked in the oven at 400°F for about 20 minutes.
