Beef and Broccoli Stir Fry

Description

A quick and easy beef and broccoli stir fry that’s perfect for a weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, oyster sauce, beef broth, and cornstarch. Set aside.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the garlic and ginger, sautéing for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add the sliced beef and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Add the broccoli and stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes until tender-crisp.
  6. Pour the sauce mixture over the beef and broccoli, stirring well to combine.
  7. Cook for an additional 2 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste and serve immediately over rice or noodles.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes or sliced chili peppers.
  • Make sure not to overcook the broccoli to maintain its bright color and crunch.
  • This dish can be served with rice or noodles for a complete meal.
