Description

Baked grapefruit is a delightful and healthy dessert that combines the tartness of grapefruit with the sweetness of brown sugar and honey, all enhanced by a hint of cinnamon. It’s a simple yet elegant dish perfect for breakfast or a light dessert.

2 large grapefruits
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 tablespoon butter, melted
Optional: fresh mint leaves for garnish


Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Cut each grapefruit in half and carefully scoop out a small amount of the flesh to create a little well for the toppings.
In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, honey, and cinnamon.
Drizzle the melted butter over the cut sides of the grapefruit halves.
Sprinkle the sugar mixture evenly over the grapefruit halves.
Place the grapefruit halves on a baking sheet, cut side up.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the sugar is bubbly and caramelized.
Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
Garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired before serving.
