Ingredients

  • 4 slices of bread
  • 4 slices of cheese
  • 4 slices of deli meat (turkey, ham, or your choice)
  • 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons of mustard
  • 1 large potato (for fries)
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) for the fries.
  2. Wash and cut the potato into thin strips to make fries.
  3. In a bowl, toss the potato strips with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  4. Spread the fries on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
  5. While the fries are baking, assemble the sandwiches by spreading mayonnaise and mustard on each slice of bread.
  6. Layer cheese and deli meat on two slices of bread and top with the other slices.
  7. Heat a skillet over medium heat and grill the sandwiches for 3-4 minutes on each side until the bread is toasted and the cheese is melted.
  8. Remove fries from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving.
  9. Cut the sandwiches in half and serve on a white plate with fries on the side.
