Description

A festive and delicious whoopie pie made with cake mix, perfect for celebrating the 4th of July.


Ingredients

  • 1 box red velvet cake mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup white frosting
  • Red and blue sprinkles for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and water. Mix until well combined.
  3. Fold in the mini marshmallows gently.
  4. Drop spoonfuls of the batter onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving space between each.
  5. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are set.
  6. Allow the whoopie pies to cool completely.
  7. Spread frosting on the bottom of one pie and sandwich it with another. Repeat for all.
  8. Decorate with red and blue sprinkles.

Notes

  • For a more traditional whoopie pie, use chocolate cake mix instead of red velvet.
